Since February of this year, New York City [USA] has implemented a new local law: everyone working in the city is entitled to 32 hours of “crisis leave.” This solution allows residents to respond to life crises, such as when a downpour floods their apartment or when a child wakes up with a fever.

Interestingly, this law also covers people working as Platform Providers. The Department of Consumer and Employee Protection at City Hall encourages people to report situations where employers hinder the exercise of this right.
