In May 2023, Couriers associated with OPZZ Konfederacja Pracy created a MANIFESTO on the necessary regulations of working conditions in the platform industry.
They criticize the business practices of corporations such as Uber, Wolt, as well as the flexible employment model implemented by the Tikrow application.
The manifesto included an analysis of the negative social effects of the platform model and demands for specific changes – primarily, granting platform workers basic rights under the Labor Code.
The manifesto was prepared in cooperation with academic staff from the University of Warsaw, the Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Wrocław and the non-governmental organization “Institute of Public Affairs” and gained the support of the Presidium of the All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions.
