Today we’ll be meeting in Poznań (6:00 PM, Poznań Osobistych Scientific Bookstore, ul. Fredry 10). But before we talk, a small update on the implementation of the EU Platform Work Directive. The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy (as it is responsible for its implementation) has decided to prepare a separate act to regulate the issues covered by the Directive. It will also be necessary to amend several other important acts (e.g., the Code of Civil Procedure and the Act on the National Labor Inspectorate).
The deadline for implementing the Directive has not changed: December 2, 2026.
The Ministry plans to forward the draft implementing regulations to other ministries and publish them by the end of this year (i.e., 2025).
Well, we’ll have to wait. And then we’ll see: parliamentary committees, parliamentary debate, votes, the Senate, the president…
