Two scientists from the Leon Kozminski Academy in Warsaw have published the results of a study in the Central European Management Journal entitled “Meaningful work in an app? A study of the significant professional experiences of food delivery couriers in Poland”.
Although the study was conducted at a business school, the conclusions from it coincide with the position of Trade Unions operating in Delivery Platforms around the world.
The authors emphasize in the summary: The study highlights the need for regulatory changes to ensure minimum guaranteed wages and health and safety regulations for temporary workers. By fostering a supportive and transparent work environment, the gig economy can better contribute to employee well-being and social equality.
