Another week and another study on working conditions in Supply Platforms. This time, the study was conducted by the Workers’ Observatory in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is a project in which people working as Supply Platforms and academics from the University of Edinburgh collaborate. It is also supported by the Scottish Trade Union Congress.

This is another study that confirms the rather grim picture of working for Supply Platforms. Among people working as Delivery Drivers in Edinburgh who responded to the survey:
– 30% had an accident at work,
– almost half had a bike stolen,
– 25% had their account temporarily blocked by the Algorithm,
– 2/3 of them believe that they did not receive tips that customers paid via the app,
– and as many as 40% of people complained about long waits and poor treatment in restaurants and bars from which they collect orders.

Oh, if you haven’t had at least one of these situations at work, let us know. You will receive the Cup of the Year 2024 or maybe even 2025.
