The Greek eFood Workers’ Union (Σωματείο Εργαζομένων στην Efood) has called on all eFood workers to hold a 24-hour nationwide strike. The action is scheduled for Thursday, February 12th (Tsiknopempti – the Greek equivalent of Fat Thursday, a day with a very high order volume).

The main goal is to pressure eFood to negotiate a Collective Bargaining Agreement covering all employees (including those working in the Platform’s offices and warehouses). The agreement will guarantee hourly pay, accident insurance, and free protective equipment, the option to switch from a B2B model to a full-time position (for those willing), and the termination of cooperation with Partners.

The union is also appealing for solidarity, urging suppliers not to be tempted by the “bonuses” the company typically offers on strike days to discourage participation in protests.

As a reminder, eFood is owned by Delivery Hero, which operates in Poland as Glovo.
