As reported by “Le Soir”, the French Prosecutor’s Office demanded a 12-month prison sentence (suspended) and a fine of EUR 30,000 for Adrien Roose. He was the head of the now defunct Take Eat Easy Online Platform. He is accused of deliberately “concealing the employment relationship” with suppliers (approximately 3,000 people were injured) and forcing them to take up work that did not bring them earnings through intimidation and constant control.

Responding to the allegations, Roose stated that he was only involved in raising funds from investors, so he knew nothing about the employee policy. He blamed the company’s collapse on the leaders of labor protests around the world.

The Take Eat Easy platform was liquidated by the court in 2016, and the judgment in this case will be issued on November 30, 2023.
