The Fairwork Project has published another report on working conditions for Platforms – this time in Chile. Based on the analysis of many factors (including wages, form of employment, contract terms), this report assesses (in the form of a ranking) working conditions in five Platforms. Here are the results (maximum 10 points):
\nCabify – 5 points (Passenger transportation platform)
\nPedidosYa – 2 points (Delivery Platform)
\nCornershop – 2 points (Delivery platform, recently part of Uber Eats)
\nUber – 1 point (Passenger transportation platform)
\nJusto – 1 point (Delivery platform)
\ninDrive – zero points (Passenger transport platform)
\nDidi – zero points (Passenger transportation platform)
\nRappi – zero points (Delivery platform)
\nUber Eats – zero points (Delivery platform)<\/p>\n
Interestingly, in Chile, a law has been in force since September 2022 guaranteeing people working for Platforms a minimum hourly rate. But only one platform (Cabify) has proven that it actually guarantees earnings equal to or greater than the minimum wage. The rest successfully circumvented this law.<\/p>\n
