The Lieferando Workers Collective (LWC) in Germany has begun collecting signatures for a petition addressed to the Bundestag calling for a ban on the employment of individuals working as Platform Suppliers through intermediaries. According to the LWC, employment through Fleet Partners is simply a “criminogenic environment” that exists only to complicate the legal situation and blur criminal liability.<\/p>\n
Other demands of this petition:
\n– Implementation of the EU Platform Work Directive, which will provide the same level of protection as in a direct employment relationship
\n– Adding provisions for individuals working as Suppliers to the Act on the Protection of Parcel Carriers (Couriers)
\n– Introducing public certificates assessing working conditions on Delivery Platforms<\/p>\n
