Two weeks ago, we reported on the launch of a Center for Delivery Workers in New York (here<\/a>). Now, the New Delhi [India] city government has announced the creation of a similar network of Regeneration Centers. These centers will offer delivery workers a place to rest, access to restrooms, the ability to charge phones, and eat meals.<\/p>\n

City officials hope that providing delivery workers with adequate rest will improve their safety and reduce the number of road accidents.<\/p>\n

And we repeat the question: why are the costs of exploitation in platform work once again being passed on to citizens? Isn’t providing access to restrooms the employer’s responsibility?<\/p>\n
