In exactly three weeks, Warsaw will host what is arguably the largest event for bicycle couriers this year. It will be a warm-up event for the European Cycling Messenger Championships (ECMC), which will take place next door: in Berlin, a week after the Warsaw event.<\/p>\n

We spoke with Ludmi\u0142a, a courier from the Timebomb courier cooperative, about the event.<\/p>\n

What is this event? Why are you organizing it?<\/strong>
\nWe’re organizing a pre-event for the European Cycling Messenger Championships (ECMC) Berlin 2026, a gathering of bicycle couriers from across Europe and the world. We’re meeting in Warsaw before everyone heads west.
\nNot to prepare\u2014but to get started together. We do it because we can, because we enjoy what we do, we like meeting and doing things together that might only make sense to us, but work out quite well.
\nIt’s also a good time to meet people from other cities before Berlin gets really crowded.<\/p>\n

Where will it be? What’s on the schedule?<\/strong>
\nIn Warsaw, May 8\u201311. The plan includes races, alleycats, gold sprints, fast things and pointless things that suddenly turn out to be the most important. There will be meetings, rides around the city, and evenings that defy the schedule.
