According to many residents, the chaos is caused by people working as Delivery People for Platforms. They are so determined to deliver orders as quickly as possible, and at the same time there are so many of them that they have become a problem for many passers-by.<\/p>\n
The new law will require Delivery Platforms to register with a special city registry and buy insurance covering all Delivery People. Additionally, Platforms will be required to provide quarterly data on where Delivery People pick up orders. The data will be sent to the Department of Transportation, which will allow for the location of problem areas and the creation of special parking spaces for Delivery People. The idea is to alleviate congestion caused by Delivery People gathering in front of certain restaurants while waiting to pick up orders.<\/p>\n
