Lyft encouraged people to work by informing that drivers across the country could earn certain hourly amounts. For example, potential drivers in Atlanta were offered up to $33 per hour, in Portland up to $41, and in Los Angeles up to $43. However, these amounts did not represent the income that the average driver could expect. They were based on the earnings of the top one-fifth of drivers.<\/p>\n
The settlement means that the Platform will pay a $2.1 million fine, but also removes any claims of unfair wages from it.<\/p>\n
